Description

Found these two in the backyard today, went back out to the bush where I found the Hummingbird Clearwinged moth from yesterdays post and found these two Snowberry Clearwinged moths mating; all the while still going from one flower to the next. Tried to get a shot of them at one of the flowers but wasn't as successful as I was yesterday. They did however land in the yard I'm sure from exhaustion, they had been multi tasking for quite awhile. Very seldom do you get the chance to see these moths at rest or anytime really so I fell lucky to have seen the Hummingbird and the Snowberry moths this early in the spring. Nature is pretty awesome when you get the chance and take the time to see it up close. Thanks for stopping by and for any comments you care to leave, have a great weekend!

That's a great shot. I found a couple of hawk moth's last year - the offspring of this couple should hatch the next time - I hope to get some good shots of this new generation.

This is really a grand shot! I wonder if you have considered submitting your photos to National Geographic or other nature magazines? They really are good!
