Koosie, as one of our subtlest, gentlest, most delicate, funniest and deft-est artists—hands down—this is the best gift you could've given me. I don't think you could've given me anything better than your pawns, which you know I place just a notch beneath the Sistine Chapel, with their caring detail & oh-so subtle touch (and free-floating umbrellas—always looking out for the small things...) And thank you for being a good friend, I've learned a world from you & everything you've shared: You helped me get the courage to start a gallery—this is wholly true—when I was returning to art after 20 years & was unsure if I could even draw again: You're one of the few reasons I have a gallery now, absolutely true.
