My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

A beautiful capture with great lighting and I love the little poem to go with it.

Note to self...read the notes before examining the picture. I spent some time looking for the moth:) Neat photo. Makes me think of a photo from Nikolay. Nicely done.

Jethro Tull--wow, a huge fave---and like Bill, I kept looking for the moth--(duh, read the fine print, girl!!). The B&W is really effective here, beatiful door!!

oh beautiful. I agree with Bill it has some Nikolay qualities, but it's also all you. I was stunned to learn that this was a window in the home center, because it could be a shot from an old, old home. For some reason it feels very Eastern European to me, maybe because I've seen E. European windows like this. (The floral curtain bolsters that.) You really transformed this, one by your subtle b&w & grays, two by the sumptuous lighting esp. in the horizontals, three by the glass reflections that look like digital layers (I know they aren't), and four because of that beautiful bit of curtain that you caught in the window. It has a 19th C. feel—heavy, laden with memory & delicate at the same time. A beautiful transformation. What you do with that home center...
