Description

Full size for lots of detail work! So far we have seen the ancient invasion of Ireland from the point of view of the conquering force, the Milesians, lead in battle by their famous Iberian warrior queen Scota. But conflict always has at least two sides and they too must have their story. The native peoples of Ireland at that time were known as the Tuatha De Danann and were famous for their command of pagan magic and druidry. In fairness I present the other side of the Milesian invasion story. On the eve of the crucial battle of Tailtiu with the Milesian invaders, the young Tuatha De Danann priestess Eriu, invokes the spirit of a legendary and powerful Irish fighter to do battle against the warrior queen Scota. Invocation means to take in the spirit of a deity or spiritual ancestor into one's own body as opposed to evocation which means to command that spirit to be present at a given location. Here Eriu invokes the spirit of a long dead fighter to take possession of her body so that she may go into combat against the demigod Scota. We have recently seen Scota in blazing battle against the demonic forces of the Tuatha De Danann. "Last Stand - Scota 3" Will this lithe young lady's magic transform her into a fierce fighter capable of taking on the mighty Scota? It hardly seems possible, but that is the essence of magic! As a matter of historical interest, the name of this priestess, Eriu, who later became a Goddess, is the derivative of the word Eire, the traditional name for Ireland. Previously

Wow, the render is fantastic. Even on my (green screened)pc monitor the colors and the detail is outstanding..Will have to check it out on the laptop later for the real colors. Super lighting. See the tattoos this time. Work well done.Love her outfit. Am super curious to see this cute little witch transform into a big bad assed warrior that will bring down that fiery Scota. My gosh girl you are just knocking them out of the park each time you post a new render. Great job.

Roxy this one is outstanding and clearly shows why you are the best at these images that mirror a story. You really pulled off her invoking the spirit so well here

I have to agree with Liz here Roxy, you have the golden touch and everything you have posted is pure GOLD! When I saw this ebot I was figuring that I was looking at the end of your Scota series, I am glad that I was wrong on that account! I will be the first to say that I don't know anything about Wiccan religon, but you are constantly shedding light on it. I aplaud your spirit and determination to produce renders that are constantly making people think or re-evaluate their beliefs. Part of what makes your renders so powerful is your knack for portraying the era so realisticly. Your clothing and props are items that could be found within that time, you will not see a piece of jewelry or clothing that couldn't be produced in that time frame, that is attention to detail! I just looked at the postwork on this, the flames and effects are first rate and truly something to be proud of!

Wow, Roxy, you outdid yourself this time! The textures are fabulous, especially the skeletal warrior's armor. And of course, the lighting is superb or the tex detail wouldn't be so obvious. As usual, your posing and magic effects are excellent. Very very good job!

It's amazing how much you've grown as an artist in the past year or so. Your storytelling was always great and your images always had passion and a lot of energy but your last few offerings have been pretty flawless technically as well. Not even an odd shadow to comment on. Keep this up and I'm going to have to start giving you the standard "wonderful picture" two-word comment ;) Okay, on a more serious note this is really good, professional-level work with great style and attention to details. Stunning picture!

Your scene is fantastic and the story is one well worth the telling... I am a strong believer in the power of the Tuatha De Danann and a follower of their misty teachings. This will go to the top of my favorites. Glad to be back, I've missed your work. blessed be Seth

o my o my o my God this is unbelievable!! It is so fine crafted and there are so many details you brought into this scene!! And the Colours are so vivid. You really outdid yourself here, putting in Joy and lightness(smiling face and fire) , the Warrior (inner strength), the Darkness (skeletons), Magic (witchcraft), etc... you are brought it all in... Dead (the sceletons) and life (the flames, magic effect and the Joy) walking hand and hand together in this scene..Very spiritual scene you created here. The character is so pretty and the outfit is most beautiful and the tattoo's come excellent with this characters outfit. The poses of your characters are very good. And i love the light and shadow play. And you have inspired me putting the Undead Warrior on my wishlist they are so cool looking!! Yes def. my fav and 1000++++++++++++!!

A great scene, well composed full of dynamic emotion! Eiru is a fascinating Goddess, one who is quite close to me as well. (just a personal note - sorry Roxy I hate this hairdo, it reduces a perfect charakter to a little girl who belongs in a sandbox in my eyes. But this is just a matter of personal taste)
