Description

Looking through my gallery I see very few images that were not done without some overt purpose and which just express the pure joy in the magic of being. I am also lacking in Goths and faes. So on a whim I decided to just make an image for the simple joy of it... reflecting a bit of a significant uptick in my present state of being. "First Light" for the first bit of light I have felt in quite as well and also for this fae's first fireworks. (Technically I guess she is an elf because I think faes have wings, but I am not going to be too picky!) I could not resist that ridiculous Chrystalline hair, it is so perfect, and what a great excuse to make a Goth girl. And I decided to give Tamora a different expression than what we normally see her as - she is such a versatile character...so expressive. This is for Scifibabe because she is such a master of special affects, she loves tattoos, and she and I were having a conversation yesterday about the importance of having happy characters in your gallery. This dark little fae, experiencing the joy of her first spell going well, has all the elements that I have learned to love about Lori's work. Often I cite a favorite work by an artist but for Lori I would have to cite an entire gallery! Hope you forgive me for that Lori and I hope you like her. Thanks to Ana (Igolochka) for encouraging me to try a Goth chic. Tattoo's are Folkvangar's Magical tattoo's applied on Tamora textures in photoshop and then attached to her texture nodes in poser material room. A bit frustrating getting them lined up in photoshop but kinda cool to be able to do it too! UH OH!!!! I stumbled into an episode of the Twilight Zone!! Roxy did a render of a smiling chick that isn't holding a sword...What next Charlie doing a warrior babe in a bezerker rage? Seriusly Roxy, this piece is so out of the blue I am totaly speachless as to tell you what I think about it so I guess I will have to stare at it for a bit and let you know what it says to me in a minute, be right back...OK I'm back. I am really stunned by this image, you have gone completely out of your comfort zone on this one! It is light, and filled with joy. Your use of Tamora on this really shows your ability to use what you have at hand to their maximum potential! The background is wonderful, it speaks volumes as to your eye for detail. It is nice to see you doing a render for he fun of it, you are an amazing artist and I am glad to see this side of you! Roy

This is very different yet very much you at the same time, if that makes any sense. I think you really nailed the sense of joy and happiness that she exudes.
