Description

The Lady of Shalott. As a very few people know. I am working to start as a vendor here on Renderosity. The reason why i havn't been around much in the galleries for the last 4 weeks. This is my new vendor account, called "StarLight_Brigade": http://www.renderosity.com/homepage.php?userid=619453 I will use that account for promotion renders of the V4 character packs, of which i will try to sell here. My first characterpack is being BETA tested atm. And will be uploaded for product testing after that is completed. This old LBJ2 account will be used for the more artistic side of me and my work. The Lady of Shalott. Is a repost from my former gallery. It is a piece of which i like very much, myself. Bryce 6.1 and Daz renders+ a lot of photoshop postwork... For the inspiration.... I listen to a lot of music. And i love all styles. Mostly because every piece of music, is a deep look, into the heart of the composer. I stumbled upon this wonderful piece lately. And i felt like putting a picture on it. This is a fantastic LIVE version the song: Click here to hear the song The song is composed by a fantastic composer and harpist. She is an amazing singer too, and have the voice of an angel. I'm a big fan of this harpist, and have been so for many years. This celtic inspired harpist wrote the music in 1990, and perform the piece only. The lyric is by the famous poet, Alfred Lord Tennyson. Most people from the UK should know him. He wrote 2 versions of it originally. One in 1833 and one in 1842. Both the music and the victorian poem, are pure masterpieces. Legendary work. We are of course talking Arthurian legend here. First Lars I wish you all the best with your new venture. I am loving listening to the music link she certainly has a beautiful and haunting voice, which seems to go well with the song she sings about the Lady of Shalott. I love Tennyson's work very much, he was born in my county of Lincolnshire, and he went to the same school The Louth Grammer School in Louth, as both my sons. He apparently hated the school and eventually left it and became home schooled by his father. Anyway Lars good to see you posting and I love your artwork it really is beautiful, hugs Jane xx

Ah Camelot! In short, there's simply not a more congenial spot For happily-ever-aftering than here in Camelot. My all time favorite musical, I will be singing the song all day now, lol! sorry it took so long for me to get here, I just plain overlooked your latest posts & I'll get to the other one in the next day or two...Well, more history from you, literary to be exact; and I really like what you've done with the poem & legend (I think the original lady was called "Escalot" or "Elaine", though don't quote me on that!). If I recall, she died of an unrequited heart, and I also remember at least one legend where she lived in a tower...In any case, I don't remember the poem despite a whole course on Tennyson eons ago (don't ask me how long ago it was), so whatever Tennyson did, you have her elated, arms stretched, and flanked by the ghost, I assume, of Lancelot or at least some lover. There's a consummation, but only in spirit; and you convey that with the misty tone, the late day ambers & peach tones, and the sweep of stars and lights across the frame. And I see other Arthurian symbols as well, including the sword & a beautiful castle. I don't know if that's a rose behind her—though I know you use roses quite expressively—but it's beautiful, whatever it is. (A bird maybe? I should read the poem!) Beautiful & dreamy, and I know the song too (and love Celtic Harp). Thanks for the info and the link as well.

Sends a shiver through my spine. Wonderful to see such art inspired by classic poetry. And Lorrena's version of the song is indeed wonderful.
