Description
Captured 3/10/09, around 7:45 AM, within walking distance of my demure dwelling.
Remember the homeowner who bought his South African daisies over at Home Depot but didn't know the name of the flower? Well, this is another variety of the same species that he planted, also claiming ignorance of its particular identity. I found this one over at Home Depot, sitting besides the white variety. One website lists it as a Flower Power Silver Purple South African daisy, scientific name: Osteospermum. To avoid any confusion, these pics were taken next to the white South African daisies in the homeowner's front yard garden.
A zoom will be well worth your while.
Thankx for looking in, and have a hot and heavy hump day.

ya know, the 'idea' here—ie, flowers from smaller to larger to largest—can sound overdone when one thinks about it. But the thing is, you didn't go for strange angles to break the 'obviousness' of the triptych, you went for the shots at their fullest: And you showed that this simple concept can burst off the page and into our eyes. A definite fav...the flowers look almost like they posed for you, and the stamens—esp. in the bottom one (where we can see them close up)—are great contrast to the petals. And I always zoom, btw, I mean on everything. I wish others did too, since it's the work the artist intended. Well, these pics jump off the page zoomed. I love this bunch. (btw, if you didn't know, Rosity displays the full-version of your pic outright if your pic is 700 pixels wide or less. Not many people like working that narrow, but it's nice to know just in case...)
