Oh, I like this. The writer's gallery just completed a challenge, "Alone in the Dark". This would have made an intriguing visual piece to illustrate a poem or some prose. Outstanding!

Nikolay, this is mesmerizing. I love the contrast of the sharp clarity of the lighted doorway, and the misty haze through which the assumed automobile light shines, even if only one light. The reflection is stunning. You attract me with the simplicity, as a moth drawn to the flame. Excellent work and a fav.

More fine minimalism from you. 3's again, at least to my eye: The open door; its light spilling into the room; and the apparition of light in the left-side of the picture. The door-opening has just enough detail to be alive—those 3 light-switches or whatever they are, and what appears to be a latch on the door. The shadow is articulated by white reflection & the detail of the tile. And by contrast you have the pure glimmer of light in the utter darkness, amorphous in contrast to the fine-detail of the other sections. And of course...lots of dark space. Wonderful; evoking lots of things happening way out of the shot, as seen from a room of deep dark and silence. And the title "closing time" is ambiguous enough—to me, at least—to imply that the dark room is closing up, or there is a closing somewhere out there in the rest of the world; or perhaps the person watching all this (us) is about to be 'closed out'. Classic Nikolay, a terrific piece. And another fav.
