The other day I posted a shot of a flower** I couldn't identify. Well, a couple of days later, I was taking more pix and voila!! Mystery solved--it's a cherry blossom!!

Yeah, like Bill I knew it all along but didn't want to embarrass you, especially when I'm not supposed to know anything about this stuff. Anyway, cool soft macro of the cherry blossom, which resembles a squid from the side. The stamens look like wooden matches.

Bill & Harry knew all the time...well that leave me noplace! (I don't know squat about flowers, even though I've painted them!) What's amazing is that these are the same specie, but they're so very different: The light here is deep & mysterious, and back-lit. It was in the last shot too, but this one has more shade, and the light behind is more brilliant. Another fine flower shot, Marilyn. You really like get from many places...
