Description

Three more pages with dialogue. Again I wish to extend to my deep appreciation to my dear friend Larry_F. It is no exaggeration that without his aid and guidance this project would have most likely died aborning! Thank you so very much Larry. David P. Hoadley Bat-Yam, Israel

Nice! I like the succession of compositions, with the zooming-in from one panel to another. As said earlier, do compose your panels with primarly taking into account the surface of balloons and the place them inside the panel where you want to put them, this will avoid you to destroy important areas of the subject. For example, in Panel 1, if you put the truck at a lower place, you will have less of its surface hidden by the balloon. Even better, if you suppose that the truck is turned both towards the bottom and to the right of the image, you will have all the room to make that the balloon is not at all superimposed with the truck, and even more interesting you can show the tunnel better than here. A comics is first a story. So, the image has first to take into account the story and try to do the best with it. Some comics have huge text elements, e.g. the world famous "Black and Mortimer" series by the late Edgar-P. Jacobs. Jacobs is dead (in 1979) but this series continues with newer scenario-writers (Yves Sente) and illustrators. Both of them, Ted Benoit and Andre Juillard have to take into account the text elements and try to create their panels with the surface that the text lefts free. All my congrats, because buiding a comics is never an easy thing so you deserve honors! Do continue the good work!
