Description
I removed my last post because Dianne's family asked if I'd hold off for a bit. I understood fully. But thanks to all who visited, and apologies to those of you who fav'd: When you remove an image, the fav's come down too. Many thanks to all of you, it made me feel very good...(I didn't ask for comments because her family asked me to wait..I'll repost later.)
This was an earlier version of my "Velvet & Sand" (here, bottom panel). I liked the spring 'thaw' feeling, so decided to post it. Many thanks Nancy (Gaiadriel) for being the inspiration! Hope everyone likes it...
I'm catching up tonight. It will take me a few nights so if I don't reach you tonight, I will tomorrow. I know none of you pressure me, but I love your galleries & I'm thrilled to be able to visit them once again.

You may call this a thaw, but I see ocean waves, bright skies and calm. It's beautiful, and of course, we all see things differently.

It´s a wonderful painting ,Mark.Full of lighteness. It always "keep my eye opened"!I scrolled it, and i can see two figures delined(at left) in an underwater ambience. There is very deepness in this painting, like sky meeting water and envolved to another dimension..It´s very beautiful and calm.another great piece of art!from something inside. Thank you so much you for sharing. and welcome!:)) (PS: thank you for your comments and fav. in portuguese ,Mark. It´s an honour)

I think it was Tomita who said : "Art is a tryst, for in the joy of it, maker and beholder meet." Very beautiful work Bravo Mark

Sorry you had to remove the last one but I do understand and respect the families wishes. Great job on this one Mark as it is filled with such love and inspiration. Knowing it comes from Nancy makes it all the more special as I am blessed to know her and consider myself lucky as she is such a wonderful lady.

Tis' enchanting and it lures me to see a man dressed like a monk thru a frozen window of time. Very dimensional; like unto layers of consciousness. Very active with mystique, yet the figure seems to be sublimely, scerene with a knowing.:-) Blessings to you Mark, you have been in my many thoughts. I have been here, yet away for a while,I myself can not catch up on all the responses and friends galleries and If I tried I wouldnt be able to move forward into what Im supposed to do. So please count me in on not needing catch up with my responses. But do know that I think of you and send prayers and know you are with me in heart and so is your beautiful art. (((((( hugs))))) KenyaRose

I love your translation of mood to color and shape...and this is no exception! Beautiful work!

I agree that this is a thawing transition from "Velvet and Sand", like a continuation of the poem. And thank you for linking Galadriel's gallery which I thoroughly enjoyed. You described it wonderfully.

An appropriate title for this awesome stretch of frosted blue ambiance, in the throes of sliding down the window pane into a state of complete liquidity.

I like the flow of this very much. Soft and graceful, it lulls me ... not to sleep ... but into a semi-alpha state. I stare, scroll, stare, and wish it went on much further than it does. Beautiful!

Excellent as usual.

I, too, see a monk, and layers of consiousness that KenyaRose so beautifully describes. Brilliant energy, and so representative of far too many things, to confine to a single comment. There are a million faces here as well, many souls within, and without, the centric focus. And yet it lends itself to a soaring spread, that's, yes, wordly, and so pervasive as if to have no single focus, which, I think, perfection. There is calm and clarity..and it somehow bears overall witness (evidenced too, by the silhouette on the left, which begins with the profile of a face, so clear, then less clear, extending into the body's physical form..and proffers forth a teardrop-shaped flame, illumination). Not to miss the very singular plop of green (sweet growth)in the upper right of the comp, that exists nowhere else. Oh, a small area on the left hints at it, but doesn't fully approach. It somehow couldn't. And then, a million tiny points of lemon-light all peeking through. Clear, its association with my image gift from you..but also quite unique in its own right. To think that I've, in any way at all, been inspiration for either, is nothing short of an honor. Thank you for sharing this one with each of us as well, dear you.
