“You don't take a photograph, you make it.” - - Ansel Adams
UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Good composition!

Great shot. Might be gone when you come this summer. The entire property is for sale if you would like to have a fixer-upper down Georgia way. I would be happy to introduce a bid for you and throw in a jug of Snake-away for your use. Skipper

Great view! A real fixer-upper but the architecture is very interesting, very Southern, and the setting seems to offer some very nice shade.

Such a pretty cabin and lush growth. Hope there's an extra quilt or two for the 'lucky" guests during these cool spring nights. Very nice shot and pov, Bill.

Great one, I wonder what the view is like from the window. Well done! Clive

I see the gaping hole in the window all right, but it sure looks like nature is rapidly reclaiming its own in this fine study of high light and dark contrast, Bill! I wonder if there are any black widow spiders and/or creepy things lurking in all that tree ivy.

Split log house? Ohh, that must go way back.

What an English Estate Agent would call "Rustic with good ventilation".. :) Another great capture Bill, this most certainly blends with it's surroundings.Sad to hear it may soon be gone, but at least you've preserved the memory.Thanks.

Files are wonderful things; this was a great find!

What a wonderful image! I remember this cabin from before, but it looks totally different from this angle. I like snakes, but not indoors ... so I won't be renting this out for the summer! :)
MrsLubner
I can imagine the cozy and intimate view looking out from here. The ivy is wonderful. Great pov.

Looks like a great spot to right a novel....if I wasn't so illiterate that is. ;)

I know what you mean about, lurking files! I'm finding them too! So, this is my room then!!!! Ha! Ha No! Another great find! Lovely old building. Hidden away, for sure. A beauty in its own right! Great shot. Rob.

Great shot Bill!

I remember the older shot very well, I was really taken with it. This window is nice not only because it's small and cozy but because it's surrounded by trees and that big chimney and all those vines. Nice shady capture of the feel of a tree-lined home. And the sun gives a gentle yellow to it all...

excellent details and colors....great shot!
