Description

Darth Maul on his speeder with his droid, heading towards the escapees of Naboo that he tracked down on Tatooine. Inspired from the scene in "Star Wars: Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace". Darth Maul was a great character, and I always liked that scene. Done with Poser, Vue and Photoshop. Thanks for looking P.s. Thanks to elfguy, Bobbie25 and the people in chat that helped me track something down I needed for this piece. May the Force be with you

Pretty good, but this would have only been very good if real-time video. I'd say blur is overdone by many of us.

The people above are right about the blur. When I saw that you had uploaded an image I came straight here to look at it but while it is a new departure its not as good as your previous images. Its still good but you have done very much better. I made a Star Wars model in Moi last week. Interested in a collaboration? I'm not that good but I would like to try modeling something and texture mapping it. I'll bung the model up now. Keith

Been so long since I watched that movie it's hard to recall. Well the time and the fact that Epi I didn't sit all that well with me and forced a prequel ban. Anywho... great image! The blur effect gives this a great sense of speed. Mission accomplished!

This update looks much better, originally the main character was out of focus and motion blurred as well (some of the comments above will seem out of context as the image was updated) and as such I deleted my original comment and am now commenting on this updated version. Nice concept and sense of motion, the only remaining thing I see is that the character is in complete sihlouette, yet the front facing parts of the hover bike are still very well lit. While there is a sense of drama or foreboading darkness about the sith character, if realism is the target- then Darth Maul may require a little bit more light- perhaps some specularity or something to define his form, clothing, etc.. a little better to match the rather bright ambient lighting hitting the front.
