UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

This farmer has quite a house--another great shot!!

I love the green roof and shutters. I bet it's beautiful in summer when the trees are all leafed out! Lovely place.

Beautiful shots and great subjects. You're right, the place is way too neat to be a working farm, it's also too neat to be currently lived in. This makes me wonder if it's a deceased estate recently cleaned up and ready for sale.

Great shot!!

Very interesting! They obviously had no time to make a garden, or no interest!

What a very pretty farmhouse this is! With all those windows, it was easy to 'air condition' the house during the summer years ago. Just imagine sitting on that wonderful porch and sipping a mint julep on a warm summer's eve!

Outstanding shot of a beautiful house. If it holds true to architecture of the time, the kitchen is the outcropping on the left rear --only one chimney on the house so must have been late 1800's and more modern heating system, or farmer Brown and all the little Browns had some cold feet when they got up to milk the cows.

really nice choices, really nice how the house is backed by that high tree & almost flanked by trees around it. And your slight angle allows us to see its shadow & contrasts as well as its big bold sun-drenched facade. And we get the flanking trees to both sides, as well as the slope of the land. It's lovely to see that slope in the background. And I like skipper's comment: he apparently knows the structure of these houses, that yes, the one chimney shows its age & tells us that winters weren't an easy time...Very nice shot, and another in your many captures of this very rich landscape and heritage...

Ha! Lovely picture AND in a farmhouse in fine condition. But you know what it reminds me of? Texas Chainsaw Massacre! Ha! Ha! But in better condition....and without the bodies! Lovely picture, my friend. Pristine colours. Rob.

An excellent portrait of a proud house. It may not be a working farm but if not then it's a grand residence where the grass is manicured and the fences are kept in pretty good condition.

Beautiful farm house and so well kept up.

Looks great Bill. A little like the house in the movie "The Giants' except there were less trees.
Fred255
Well that's a rich farmer.

I'm running very late today, Bill, so I'll be terse and succinct in this instance and just say my comments echo all that have preceded me.
