Description
it was my plans for Jock and myself to explore Bryce park but a heavy snow storm changed our idea.
I was afraid of getting snowed in, and my Corolla was not designed for heavy snow. we still managed to get a few pictures. if you look carefully you can see the flakes
thanks for viewing and any comments.I will be out again so I will be unable to comment

Looks really beautiful with the snowfall. Snow is such a funny thing, both beautiful and dreadful.

when I go away, catching up is always a several day process, and when I get to your gallery I'm always reminded what a fine & sensitive artist you are. This really does feel like a shot taken while show was falling, it has that hazy dreamy feel of a vivid landscape veiled by soft falling snow. I love the browns present through the background as well as foreground; and the misty quality of the background: And yet you get clarity in the background, it isn't just an out-of-focus landscape; it's more a clear landscape misted over by the play of atmosphere & snow. In the Renaissance, they made a big deal about how light softens everything in the distance; and much effort was made to capture distance with muddle but clarity at the same time (in painting). You did that here, even though the clarity is more in splotches of color and light & shade. (The background seems like a painting!) Very fine capture, and I hope your trip flowered for you in all ways. Happy holidays to you & all you love, and i'll see more of your work when I return...
