Description
I presently work on modelisation of some microscopic marine creature, this object is a test for adding some randomness, like you see in living creature (urchin), I find it interesting, that's why iI made an image with it.
I realized that I'm not so bad with boolean modeling, textures, render, etc, but I'll need to study a lot more the other modeling technic like polygonal, nurbs, etc, to be able to reach my goal.
Near random subdivisions, intrusions, extrusions and twist, in a near random order, applied to an icosahedron. Modeled in Wing3D, rendered in Bryce. I never really did a comparative test between regular and premium render in Bryce, for this image the result is a little better but the render time is 2 hours in regular and 32 hours in premium...

I love the background grid, and I think I like the silver object with the gold barbs best. Fascinating modeling!
