Hello Friends
Firstly allow me to say a big thank you for the overwhelming welcome I received yesterday. It is good to be back and I treassure your kindness and friendship!
This is day two of our Namibian trip and is in fact the start of the Namib Desert (+- 80km from the Atlantic Ocean) - believe it or not. Usually this area is void of any grass with only the odd acacia trees struggling to stay alive. The rain this year however has turned it into this magic scene of colorful flowers - in this case, the yellows and purples. You can see the desert sand showing in some spots!

Gorgeous! Those clouds full of moisture make a fuss but little rain most of the time. And the wildflowers wait dormant, if necessary for years. It looks like your trip was magical. At least you got your trip timed just right.
