Description
Just pasted the town of Lincoln where Billy the Kid made his name. he was the only one that got conviced of any crime out of the Lincoln county war. He was gun down by his friend with a shotgun. he was caught off guard as he enter a house. A lot of diff tales tell how he dies but one thing for sure his friend did not tell the true on how he kill Billy the Kid. They tested that story by replaying step by step on Pat's[his friend] story and it donot line up at all. so your guess on how Billy the Kid dies is as good as anyones.[some say Billy went to Califion[miss spelled]. remind me of that movie that Clint Eastwood played in "Unforgiven". Do you wish to buy dry food from Billy the Kid?
This is just out side Lincoln the town so Billy must have saw this mountian too.
forgot the highway this is lol I did not take notes and my menory is not that good but you find it on the map.

Beautiful and so different from Breaux Bridge! He fought the law, and the law won. GPS This means you drove through Carrizozo, and maybe past the Valley of Fires? We've explored the area a lot, but it does require some hiking.

yes we went to vally of fire there. I got phots of it. From two diff Vally of Fires lol. I think in diff states

Excellent POV in this excellent capture, Jock. From what I can recall, Billy the Kid, who was born in New York City, was killed by Sheriff Pat Garrett.

Hope the highway continued beyond the drop-off. Hadn't realized it was a mountain surrounded town. Good pic with the car moving - motion blur at side of roadway.

this captures the scale of this area so well ... the angle puts me in the car wondering what the ride down the hill will look like and what it opens into as I look left and right after having reached the bottom of the hill ... very suggestive ... excellent capture!

Wonderful capture, Jock. What a fantastic and beautiful place. Billy The Kid was killed at night, unarmed. But since he murdered 21 men, according to the legend.. I guess he had it cooming. #:o) Interesting piece of history.+5
