Description

richardphoto and I left jungle1 and DennisReed going north to Flagstaff not on the main highway. we saw the sunset going to be real good so we stop and I took a lot of shots of it. now remember all I had was a 70mm to 250mm zoom, a 90mm marco and a 500mm lens to use; so I used the 70mm to 250mm zoom mostly. I forgot my D 80 in my truck so I had to buy a D 90. lol I used what I had and I had to use manaul all the time. Doing the will bring you to many ways of getting the best with what you have. Plus I had no UV filter on for the one that was on the lens was damage. I think if I had the UV filther on I would not got the haze so good. In other words I like what you see is what you get. I did buy one at the end of the trip to protect my len. But take it off just to see the diff when you shot at times. Moonrancher posted that question yesterday so check out her gallery too. think this was on the third day of the trip thanks for looking and comment

Gorgeous capture! I bet that new camera isn't really a mistake, though, now that you have it. Hehe. Your trip does sound like a blast.

Jock, those hills/mountains out there look almost like cardboard cutouts, they're so sharp! I like the sequence of haze as the hills go further into the distance. Sorry about your camera problems...sounds like you had your hands full with all that equipment to juggle.

So glad you didn't have the filter! This turned out so excellent! I love how the haze really adds depth to the shot, and softens the colors. Most Excellent!
