Description

I walked along the river bar yesterday and spotted these rocks. It was almost as though they were posing for me. Zoom is good.

What a variety! The sand is so dark, I suppose those are the stones that make the sand.

And I take to the middle one...it appears to epidomize sandstone in my mind's eye. Great natural collection at your feet.

Zoom was good, I sometimes walk the river and always bring home a couple to add to my rock garden, very nice rocks indeed and I really like the colour.

Stellar clarity, and a nice variety of colors and textures displayed in this excellent macro, Marilyn! I especially like the marbled one on the left. Good contrast against the dark background really pops them out.

Amazing natural arrangement. They do look naturally posed. Great textures, I love the grit, the various textures of the rocks themselves, and the small pits and dimples and such that cause interesting byplay between light and shadow. The colors are delicious--rich and subtle and wonderfully captured. You and your titles! How do you come up with them? Well, however you do it, just keep on doing it. I love them as much as I love the photos they go with.

Rocks can put on all kinds of shows, and if you're looking you'll find them. Nice contrast between them, sitting on a fine bed of fine-hewn pebbles, and the piece has a grain that matches the sand and smaller stones. Sensitive capture of some beautiful 'creatures'. And I love all the stuff in the background...
