Description


A piece of driftwood at Watmough Bay. It was raining pretty hard, but that's okay ... sometimes stuff looks better when it's wet. This is madrona, and the log is probably 15 to 18 inches across. (We do trees pretty well up here!) :)

really nice detail, tara, and it's only through your friend's gallery (Marilyn) that I even learned about madrona. it's amazing how it can look painted or varnished, its natural resins are so strong. Nice that you captured it next to an older chunk of wood too, like they're old companions lying down for a chat. Nice angle too, nice capture.
