Just another beautiful, ordinary spot on Lopez Island. The sun was just going down. It was that time of day when you're not sure you'll even get a shot because the light is fading, and when the autofocus kicks in you smile, click, and hope for the best. Dusk is my favorite time of day, that perfect balance point between what has gone before and what is yet to come. A transition from daylight reality to the mysteries of the night. At twilight, almost anything is possible ...
