Description

A corner pub in Leek, Staffordshire. King John granted Ranulph de Blundeville, Earl of Chester, the right to hold a weekly Wednesday market and an annual seven-day fair in Leek in 1207. This very pretty little town is situated in the Staffordshire Moorland District and at the foot of the Peak District National Park, a wonderful place to spend a vacation. To know more about this jewel see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leek,_Staffordshire I went there in September 2008. Thank you for your kind comments.
