Description

More exploring with Manga Studio. This was done over a piece of Jim Lee's pencil art from his DeviantART site. I used the Wacom tablet, mostly with the curve & line tool and several different pens in Manga Studio 4. I'm really enjoying the way it works and how clean everything is. There's still a long way for me to go, but I can see this replacing the traditional pen & ink media for me. This is Rogue from the X-Men when she was stuck in the Savage Land for a bit. Her costume ended up mostly in tatters. Thanks for looking! And again, pencils by Jim Lee, inks by me. :)

Cave era Wonder Woman. Cool I like it!!! But the shoe looks a little more modern. A rougher looking one or sandal type maybe. Love the hair.

Actually, this is Rogue from the X-Men when she was stuck in the Savage Land for a bit. Her costume ended up mostly in tatters. Should have included that in the description! :)

So much patience and careful work! With stunning results. Jim Lee should be proud that someone so gifted take care of his drawing in this way. But, no doubt some narrow-minded people will cry what you have done without permission. How sad.

Looks like a great technical excersie and I had to go over to wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inker to understand a bit of why this was more then just tracing over the work that Jim Lee had done.

It's not a scan of Jim's work, but an original inked version done as a sample, and not for commercial gain. I've also sent copies to Jim on his DeviantART site, as well as editors at DC Comics that I know, so they've seen it, and if anyone would be in a position to cry foul, they would. ;)

That really is something else. Your right about how clean the line art looks. Down right professional level work. And coming from you, that's about what we expect. Very nice work!
