After calculating equations that required indefinite variables for several hours, I need to take a break. A long, hot shower was in order. I didn't seem much too much the worse for wear for my recent adventures but I was stiff and sore. Afterwards, clad only in a towel, I headed for the galley and some food before girding myself to attack the mis-jump equations again. As I was walking, I thought I heard someone behind me call my name. I halted. And looked back. There was no one there. "Xerxes? Where is the Imperial Wolf?" "Still in the medpod. Though the program is predicting he will be sufficiently recovered to be released in a few hours." I could not shake the feeling I was being.. not watched so much as...sought. "Do you sense any other lifeforms aboard?" "No Mara." But then his sensors hadn't detected that little Urrhiaan menace either. I looked down at Mimi. She looked up at me alert but calm. Not at all like her reaction to the tentacled alien. Then she had been a hissing, spitting fury.
