The soaring avian contrasts well against the comparative darkness of the rest of the image. Me thinks a bit of postwork here using a lighting effects filter. If I'm wrong, let me know.

This has the feel of a poster, as well as your signature capture of brilliant and beautiful color. glad you posted the image too, it was good enough to stand on its own. A fine capture of a flying bird, and your highlighting makes it seem like it owns the whole sky.
