Description

This is the wire frame of the Ion Engines section of the USS Intrepid. I have received comments asking if or how I created this model and I just wanted to show that I do create all my models in Bryce. I receive a lot of suggestion saying that Bryce is not a modeling tool but as you can see that is not necessarily so. You can with a little patience model things that people thought could only be modeled in more advance programs. There are many people using Bryce for modeling and the results are nothing less than fantastic; i.e. Steve Winters (LordOfDragons), Bruno Smith (Bruno) etc. Yes I realize that there is more advance programs out there to use but for just shear ease of use in my opinion you just can

Aye, killer screenshot, it's always cool to notice and analyze the hypocrisy in our daily lives... For example, your desktop is a mess, but your Bryce setup is VERY calculated and on point! With me, my desktop is a total sterile environment, and yet my REAL desktop, i.e., what's on my desk in front of me, is a total wreck! Oh yeah, ever heard of Oxygen? (grins)

being one of those people who creates many of my own models in bryce, I totally agree with you. :-) This is an amazing piece of work... Are you working from a set of actual drawings or is it completely out of your own imagination? Either way, FANTASTIC!!! Looking forward to viewing more of your work.

i think this is great all by itself, but it goes even further in the renderosity idea of a place to see not only beautiful finished pieces but also how they are made. i'll have to remember the lesson - occasionally the wireframe is just as interesting, esp. to those who use them. you got extra points, for bravery! let's ask Corel to make us a new wireframe render mode(s) a la Poser...

Nice idea. Very organised. I must make a note to make more use of colour families - my views end up looking like scouring pads clogged with horsehair.

This is simply amazing. I too use Bryce for modeling, but my wireframes are always jumbled messes. You are inspiration to anyone that uses Bryce.

I'm still alive! I'll resume posting my work someday. bambam, i've been impressed by your work for a long time. you are definitely among the best boolean modelers in bryce. I wish I were as organized as you are. I organize my groups in hierarchies of groups. which is messy and results in crashes when I try to undo multiple groupings. www.ampcast.com/scrapex - our music
