Description

Thought I'd share some photos of the Spring storm we are having in Colorado. I live in the high country in the mountains and we got about 5 feet the last day or so. Easter weekend it was sunny with spring weather so I bought a bunch of flowers to plant on my deck. Before I could plant it began to snow a little. One day sunny, next day snow. Happens to me every year. And then this huge storm. All my little pansies are waiting on my solarium for this storm to blow over. But it's a BIG one and we are still buried and trying to dig our way out. Hope you are having sunnier days. CC

Hi Carol, that is some storm you have there. My parents live in Colorado in the Parker Area, visit Black Hawk all the time. Talked with them earlier and heard about all that snow...amazing. And your images of it really capture it well.

Oh you poor thing!! tsk I hope you guys get some warmer weather soon, late in the year snow is always stressful, my cousin goes through it all the time. Your poor flowers, having to wait on a new home!! laughs Well, at least you got some good pictures. It's always sunny in Florida. Too sunny, sometimes. Temperate enough today, thankfully. I'll wish some sunshine your way, my dear!

Ahhh, I'm so glad I'm not there to share the fun this time. And this my dear friend is why I live in California and not Colorado any longer. ;o) Superb captures. You will have a mass of gorgeous spring flowers on those mountains soon though. Hugs, Bunny

Bunny - yes, I'm from Calif so I know. But you are right, we will have glorious flowers soon, and we've actually had very light snow this past winter, so this is very good for the land.

Beautiful winter collage to look at, though I think it would be very cold to live through. I hope you get a fast melt so that you can get your summer flowers planted. The birds would be thrilled to see your feeders. Keep warm.

You snow photos are just lovely. A wonderland, but I have never figured out how you folks in cold countries mange to keep warm! Is it cruel of me to mention that tomorrow I'm going to the pool? (Florida weather)

Oh my! And I thought a few days after a ice storm looked bad. I would not be able to walk out the door with 5 ft of snow. I hope you are staying warm and that you are able to get out soon. Even though it may be difficult right now, the images are stunning!
