Description
The 4th in the series of photos I took at St. Johns last winter.
The massive scale is again evident The nave is 12 stories high at the top of the vaulting.
The large rose window (depending on measurement) is the 3rd or 4th largest in the world.
Directly below this window are the pipes of the State Trumpet organ stop. It's probably the most famous organ stop in the world. The organ console is 500 feet away in the Great Choir. Because of this its very difficult to keep the full organ in the Choir in sync with the State Trumpet at the West end.
