Description


Pennsylvania class USS Arizona was commissioned in October of 1916 and was struck from the Naval Vessel Register in December of 1942, after having been hit by a bomb from a “Kate” which caused the detonation of an ammunition magazine on December 7, 1941. Displacement: 31,400 tons Length: 608 ft (185 m) Beam: 97 ft (30 m) at the waterline Propulsion: 4 propellers powered by Parson steam turbines Speed: 21 kn (39 km/h) Complement: 1,081 officers and men Armament: 12 × 14 in (356 mm)/45 cal guns, 22 × 5 in (127 mm)/51 cal guns,[2] , 4 × 3 in (76 mm) guns, 2 × 21 in (533 mm torpedo tubes For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
