Description

3rd Pursuit Squadron AVG (WIP) EWS © 2009 First thanks to Bazze for the great P40 Curtis Warhawk model To Bazze’s homepage: http://www.renderosity.com/homepage.php?userid=4144 To Neiwil for his many textures! The texture I am working on is based on his ‘Tiger Shark’ texture for the P40. To Neiwil’s homepage: http://www.renderosity.com/homepage.php?userid=210847 WIP: I have a long way to go and have made some mistakes and trying to decide if I want to plow forward or start over. The color scheme I am working with is called Wine over Earth. 3rd Pursuit Squadron formed by secret Letter of Approval by President Franklin D. Roosevelt on 23rd December 1940. FDR Library Memoranda 1941. Disbanded 4 July 1942. First Pursuit Squadron: Adam & Eve’s. The P40's need a little more spectacularity they were'nt painted with velvet and the conopy's wind works need just a touch more reflectivity it seems there is no glass between the cage... aside from that it's awsome. kell 4.5+

This is great, nice to know someone else has taken up the paintbrush. There are so many possible textures for Bazze's planes, it would take an awful lot of us a long time to cover them.Only advice I can give is keep plugging away, never be afraid to start over, but keep the 'failures', they're always good reference and further down the line you may find a way to rescue them. This is looking great so far, I love the colours.I always find it hard at this point, to weather or not.Always seems a shame to dirty them up even if it is for authenticity.Keep at it, I look forward to how this comes out. A word of caution...this can become addictive :) (Thanks for the plug)
