Lady: AVG China EWS © 2009 Thanks to everyone for your comments on the P-40 AVG Pursuit Squadron texture, and especially the suggestions that are very helpful. Progress continues and I have made lots of improvements. Looking at tons of camouflage planes and then thinking of them as rivers and ponds helped immensely in improving my camouflage painting I have on purpose oversized some of the emblems to make them more visible in 3d scenes. I have not placed any numbers on the textures, as they are not meant to be a specific pilots plane though I may do so for individual scenes. I have found the Panda and Adam&Eve symbols and assuming I can verify they are correct hope to make some alpha textures so I can create textures with them as well. Still do not have the glass where it needs to be – its 2inches thick! Shark Mouth: Messerschmitt BF-110, Crete > No 112 Squadron RAF > Flying Tigers. Credit Bazze for the P40 Curtis Warkhawk model Credit Niewil many war bird textures that helped me get started on this effort. DAZ Studio, Hexagon, GIMP. Beautiful. I like the "evening before the battle" atmosphere. If you want to go on skinning, I may suggest to check out "flying legends net", a source for excellent warbird skins for "il2". As the program accepts the unaltered bitmap format (1024x1024), the files can easily be opened in any graphics program to analyze the riveting etc..
