Ah thanks a lot for still beeing with me on my Maulbronn excursion...smile...
There are only 5 shots left and than I will plaque you no more...smile
So this is a look into the choir stall, carved wood in gothic style in the first half of the 15th century and build to receive 92 monks during their celebration of worship which they did at 05.30 Vigil - followed by Laudes - 06.30 Convent Mass - 12.00 Midday Prayer - 17.45 Vespers - 19.00 Compline and this applies to cistercian monasteries up until today.

In todays world to get repetative carvings like these stalls, a manufaturer would set up a jig and each one would be as perfect as the last one. How did the manage when these were made to get each one just like the other? Craftsmen like that do not exsist in this age. I stand in awe when entering places of worship, looking on similar objects to this. I could never get tired looking at craftmanship of this ilk. Superb pov & perspective. Bravo!!!!!

The lighting at the top of the arches is bright enough to make it appear as if the arches disappear into a heavenly light above. :-) Wonderful shot.
