Royal Greenhouses Designed by the architect Balat (Victor Horta's teacher), these greenhouses are one of ' most remarkable monuments. This magic place will please both aficionados of 19th century architecture and green-fingered plant enthusiasts. I like this a lot. Greenhouses are always intriguing. I like the manner in which the delicate details of this are captured, along with the wonderful dome. The flying buttress-like flanges (almost like radiator fins) are particularly well caught.
