Amazing shot of these beautiful wings! A marvelous job of getting in there and not scaring it away, which is what I seem to do when I get within 50 feet of a butterfly.

awesome macro. sometimes we are blessed with Monarchs on their yearly migration to Mexico.they fly around a 1000 miles or more to mate then the new generation returns as far north as Canada

I missed this flower Alan, that in itself would make a good capture. A cracking shot, I love the detailing on the wings of the Monarch, they remind me of stained glass windows. Excellent work. Bravo!!!!!
