Description

Bill as per request , The tomb is empty ... my version .... as I said in the sitemail I had another image in mind .... before doing the empty tomb.... but you got me thinkin!!!! I put this to canvas from a very loose sketch so I'm doing a lot of drawing on the canvas .... and I'm sugesting if anyone attempts this ... use a mechanical pencil otherwise you'll spend your whole night at the pencil sharpener ... as canvas is like drawing on sandpaper !!! By the way There are to many of you to name !!!!! You are a wonderful group of artists who have some amazing talent !!!! And I've been both blessed and inspired by all of you !!! Every morning I look at your work reguardless of the medium you choose to use .... and I feel as if I'm walking thru a museum .... and light bulbs start poppin off for me (pure inspiration from you people) THANKS TO YOU ALL >>I ENJOY ART AGAIN!!!!!! I won't bore you with another WIP ... as I know the last one got drug out some ... and I don't wana bore you yet again!!! tom

Looks like a great start. And I hardly found the last boring. It was both interesting and educational.

I hope you will keep "boring" us so that we can seeyour process as this piece progresses. If I start painting again I'd like to record my process and share it here. When I draw on canvas or gessoed board I usually sharpen a half dozen or so pencils before I start. I usually sharpen them again a couple of times while I'm working. I have an electric sharpener which helps speed the process. Good start. Keep at it!

Wonderful subject, particularly for this season...the empty tomb. Victory from the jaws of defeat! Not being a painter, I've always wondered how an artist proportions such a large canvas...now I see the cross hatching. Oh, I'm looking forward to this and thank you for mentioning my earlier suggestion:) Glad to hear all of us are helping in some small way. Last but not least,...no boredom on my part concerning WIPs.

I want to be 'bored', please! the way I learned to work in DAZ was to read the commentary from other artist on how they did their work! By reading how you do your work, I can apply it, in another format, to my renders. this image you've got here, I hope to see this in its finished form.

Ok now begins a new detective story! I didn't knew that canvas is almost like sandpapper..I take it you do not use belgian linen then! Do you use stretched canvas or do you stretch your own? Do you do own priming? Sorry but I am a very curious person.

Interesting concept following your previous painting. Still, I can see there will need to be a follow up, carrying the action through to a final answer. Seeing your beginning layout is very interesting. I look forward to seeing how this turns out.

Boredom is wholly owned and operated by the person who is bored....lol Nope Tom ..you are anything but boring...in fact...you are qute an interesting character from what I've seen and read so far....Race cars, painting, long time romance....Hmm...seems to me you got the worry bug that flies around from time to time...(I get it too!)) Enjoy yourself creating as we enjoy being immersed in your artistic process. For me it is pur fun and a joy to watch you do what you do.... Have a wonderful spring and looking forward to anything you choose to share as I live in a no-pressure zone (or really I try to lol)... Peace!

Nothing boring here. It's neat watching a work develop, seeing how it grows and evolves, seeing how the artist works through the process. This one has great bones. Very important to the finished product.
