UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Well I don't know about this particular tangle, but my father thought I could do just as well with my fishing reel when I was young!! :) Neat shot.

At age 12, this would have been neat - an obstacle course to get behind enemy lines. Now, not so much.

The B&W really shows off this tangle. It looks as though a whirlwind went through here. Well spotted and captured.

Super shot. Looks like down by our creek.

Great low-key b&w! There's loads of detail without being overwhelming. Nicely done!

Nature is great and provide a best place to hide for the animals and great photo op for photographer(s). Wonderful tone too.

Bexellent shot, perfect in B/W :)

It may look like just a tangle to us, but to lots of little critters, it's Home Sweet Home! :)

Great shot. Looks like the Laurel Thicket next to the house in the hills after the ice storm. Did you ever notice that birds, especially the big ones, Hawks, Owls, can fly through that mess without getting zapped? Amazing. Have a good one.

A place for the wild to stay away from harm , well done.

Wonderful image. Excellent shot!!

Interesting shot, Bill. Different change of pace, as you say. I would have left maybe some of the colour in it, but drained most away.... But that's just me! Ha! Good fine. Great fun as a kid - nightmare for your mum! Rob.
flavia49
outstanding B/W!!! Great shot!

I particularly like the subtle hues of grey in this B/W. The neat bark on the left, and the difference between the lines of the sprigs and boughs and the elliptic leaves(?)on the ground. A great tangle indeed! BRAVO!

Rainastorm
best kind of arrangement there is !

Stellar mood capture of a dark thicket where even angels fear to tread.

Good eye for the composition, Bill.

Looks great Bill. But we had to work sometimes with undergrowth like this in the field. It is tough crawling around in there!

like a little natural tent...smile

I love it in B&W, Bill. A tangle indeed. Cheers, Clive
