Description

After posting my B&W, "Nature's Tangle", I needed a color fix and this is it for today. LOL No, this home isn't mine:-) Wish it was. But think of the upkeep! While visiting friends at Lake Burton, Georgia last summer, we took several leisurely, scenic boat rides around the lake. There are literally several hundred homes like this along the 63 miles of shoreline, each with their own private boat house and gorgeous view. I'm looking forward to a return visit to the lake in August. Thanks very much for all your comments and favorites. Love 'em all. Try a ZOOM, you'll like it. Bill:)

Hey man, I like it. Wish you were here to see it today. Flowers and dogwoods are blooming. Julia is now in the second year of construction of her "little" 30,000+ sq foot cabin on the lake. Perhaps she will invite us in for tea when you are here in August. :-))

A great place to take a boat trip. Their gardener knew that there is a lake view to consider and put the reddish bushes to contrast with the rest.

My whole house would fit in one of its rooms!! My son and a friend took me around Donner Lake (about 15 miles from Lake Tahoe) a couple of years ago. I saw the same kinds of places. I also saw little shacks, well loved--and those are the ones I'm always drawn to. Beautiful shot!

Beautiful lake house and wonderful color and clarity in this image, Bill! Wouldn't want to pay the property taxes on this place! Tell Panny and Skipper that I thought it was their cabin. :)

Beautiful!!!! My all time favorite dream come true would be to live on a lake.... doesn't have to be a huge home, just a small cabin on a lake would be just fine... but if someone were to give me a big home like these... let's just say I wouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth!!! LOL :P

Envy pools deep. Then evaporates as the thought of bills hits home, as you suggested.

Some people really have it knocked. Then again, as you said, think of the upkeep! I could go on and on about the beauty of what you've shown here, but don't have the time. Anyway, magnificent colors in this super stellar capture of a glorious part of Georgia.

they are either very wealthy or has very good credit.actually both since people with the most money tends to get the best loans. I would imagine that the foundation is always a concern being on a shore excellent landscape Bill

A beautiful lake home, but I sure wouldn't want to pay for the heating and cooling of this place or the upkeep. I'll stay in my little dump.

Oh, what a beautiful place to cool off in August with great friends! The house is wonderful, too. I'd consider settling for just the boathouse. LOL.

Great capture, even better in zoom Bill. I think if you can afford something like this you probably can afford some (illegal?) domestic help. Makes me think of vacation.
