Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

How amazing, that the wind will push the water in the opposite direction from which it's flowing! Love the colors ... beautiful!

That is some fierce wind blowing there to make those waves like that. Also like how you have captured the unusual rocks in the foreground, too.

We had that wind here too! Nearly knocked me over a couple of times. I'm headed to Ft. Bragg for a birthday party tomorrow so I wanted to let you know I am ordering no wind. :-)

Is that choppy or what?! Amazing to see , not so much fun in a little boat.

I guess it would be easier to row up river with this wind behind you, after all they are only whitecaps not white horses. Excellent work Marylin. Bravo!!!!!

Off the charts stellar, Marilyn! Terrific depth, colors and lighting contrasts in this fabulous foto! But watch thy step. The rocks in the foreground don't look too inviting.

This is amazing. Lake Michigan has something of the same weirdness...waves going one way, the flow going another...often various other ways with undertows and such involved as well. The ripples here are stunning, and it seems as if you're WAY up, looking a LONG way down into this! Great work, and it makes me wish I was there to see it with my own eyes.

It does look like the ocan rolling in. Well seen - well captured. Dana P

This would make a very good and difficult jigsaw :)
