Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Don't weeds make for some interesting and colorful additions? I like this one and wouldn't mind having it in my garden.

Full view is great! I love the light on the sticks. (Nice diagonal comp, btw!) Way to use the macro button! :D

These are weeds?! This is a dynamic compo, love it!

The way to tell flowers from weeds is to give them a tug; if they come out easy they are flowers. The wife doesn't let me weed anymore. #;0) Some weeds are more beautiful than flowers. Well spotted and photographed, have you used the super macro button for this? Bravo!!!!!

Great comment from Jeff above...I've been accused of the same thing, pulling the flowers along with the weeds. But I was just helping...

Nice shot of the wonderful weeds, just whiling away their time on what looks like a curbless road. Now you made me feel guilty for spraying the weeds in my patio with weed killer.

I love weeds. But then, I like anything that refuses to be domesticated, which probably explains why I get along so well with cats--and fellow artists, though thankfully, artists don't pee on couches (unless it's a part of some outre gallery exhibition.) Anyway, this is a gorgeous shot! I love the mood and the colors. Superb work.
