Description
This photo was taken at the Samyot temple, in Lopburi, 130km North from Bangkok. This little town, which was established in ancient (neolithic) times, is a paradise for thousands of monkeys (macaques), which are considered as the children of the town. They are everywhere, climbing on the monuments and hanging to electric wires. The cars and motorbikes stop to let them cross the roads. But they can climb on pedestrians too, so be careful to your glasses and cameras because they like to steal them and they can destroy them in few seconds! On the last Sunday of November, each year, the citizens organize a true banquet for these pets. Comments welcome.
Cette image a été prise au temple de Samyot, à Lopburi, Thaïlande. Lopburi, petite ville située à 130km au Nord de Bangkok, a été fondée au néolithique. C’est un paradis pour les macaques (singes cynomorphes), qui y vivent en totale liberté. En effet, ces animaux sont considérés comme les enfants de la ville. On les trouve partout, sur les monuments ou pendus aux fils électriques, et les voitures ou motos s’arrêtent pour les laisser passer. Ils s’enhardissent jusqu’à grimper sur la tête des passants. Gare aux lunettes et aux appareils photos qui peuvent être dérobés en un clin d’œil et détruits sur le champ par ces primates! Tous les derniers Dimanches de Novembre, la population organise un véritable banquet pour ces singes. Tous commentaires bienvenus.

Quelle malice que celle des singes sacrés de Thaïlande, de quelles facéties sont-ils capables de faire, mais aussi que de durs combats ont à mener certains mâles quad, l'âge aidant, ils veulent détroner le chef, dont les ans accumulés diminuent les forces ! Malheur aussi à celui ou celle qui désobéit et qui peut se retrouver expulsée du clan !!! La société des hommes en sorte ! Heureux de te voir parmi nous aujourd'hui !!! Très beau cliché ! What a mischief that that of monkeys blest by Thailand, what practical jokes they are capable of making, but also that hard battles have to lead some males quad, the helping age, they want to détroner the leader, by whom the collected years diminish force! Il ne faut pas croire que seuls les délicats massages prodigués par de charmantes indigènes sévissent en terre Thaïlandaise, on y trouve aussi et entre autres de merveilleuses statues que tu as si joliment mises en photos. Lumières justement dosées, cadrage centré donnent à ces singes cynomorphes tout le relief qu'ils méritent. Bravo pour ce voyage dans ces contrées exotiques. Ta sollicitation de commentaires me rappelle que je n'ai plus fait paraître ma production photographique depuis belle lurette. j'espère sous peu réparer cet oublis.
