Description

Pre-digital camera, Fuji film. After watching a watercolour tutorial on TV where the artist painted some gasholders on the Regents Canal, I decided to go to the city and find the scene for myself. I found the canal without trouble and then turned eastwards. Success, you'll say but not so. I'd gone in the wrong direction and so found my very own gasholders. The day was dull, and the photograph adequate for my recording purposes but it seemed a little photo-manipulation in Painter would make it more interesting for other people. My second mistake? Actually, I spent the full-day walking the canal and was amazed at how quiet and peaceful it was. It traverses the full length of a busy city yet none of this impinges. Cliff.
