Description

This is five images, shot hand held, and combined manually. (No fancy pano program!) When we were up on Lopez a few weeks ago, we stayed at a friend's place. The first day it was cloudy, and we had a lovely view of this pasture. The second day the sun came out, and the mountains came out, and the view changed dramatically! This mountain range tops out at about 8,000 feet. Full view is a must ... there's no way seeing it here does this justice! Trust me. It's worth the full size click and scroll!

FANTASTIC!! We took a vacation to the Olympic Mountains and we saw nothing but rain and clouds. One day we had a brief 2 minute view of 2 mountain tops and that was it. It was rather disappointing but it gives us a good excuse to go back.

Absolutely astonishing, Tara! What a great job you did here, I am SO impressed. And it is just marvellous to see what you saw. I used to draw views like this from my imagination, fed by National Geographic images, when I was a child, but your photo is somehow more real that those photos by nameless strangers.

Tara, this rates a triple WOW...that's as in, Wow, Wow, Wow. You've both captured a rare scene thanks to a break in prevailing weather and done this manually??? Looks like a faultless job. My father used to go to a dentist who did panoramas...these make fascinating things to have printed (I know, who prints photos much anymore?), framed and hung either on your wall or as a gift for that hard to buy for friend. Or, you could trot down to your local market and even sell them. You could call this your money shot!

I trusted you and the zoom is fantastic! I am very much on the lookout for an affordable and cool old house in Oregon or Washington. It's so beautiful there and my favorite weather is grey rainy days:)

Such a wide panorama and only a solitary bird, one that adds to the overall view though. You did an excellent job of hand stitching, very impresive. Excellent work. Bravo!!!!! Fav

You did very well integrating it with as little as possible visible seams. Well done Tara, it's a beautiful scene.
