Description

Viaduct - Dentdale - Yorkshire The Settle to Carlisle railway runs over many viaducts on its travels across Yorkshire and Cumbria.This is just one such viaduct which I think shows the openess and wildness of the Yorkshire moors.The little abandoned house below the viaduct is just one of many to be found in this wild and fascinating landscape.

i think i learn a lot about composition from looking at your photos. the lines in this lead the eye into and across the image. the organic curves of the land contrast with the geometric shapes of the man-made elements. even the clouds make a diagonal leading down to the land. it's all very controlled, and very natural.
