Description

Coral Bay - Scotland Located on the Isle of Skye and short walk from Dunvegan there is the so-called Coral Bay. Looking like something from a far more exotic location it is not coral but in fact it is calcified seaweed known as maerl with some small shells and tiny pebbles which makes it this pale yellow colour. There are also thousands of tiny, delicate snail shells.

Outstanding! The view with that sweep of shore and the haystack of green would be enough but with this lovely view into the water as well, this is indeed a poetic shot.

i have a book where Skye is the name of a place that transforms travelers through sea and land magic. your photos certainly make that island seem like the same place. your composition here makes it seem very small, but touched and bounded by the infinite.
