Description

We’ve had almost a week of rain here in Oklahoma USA and have gone from drought to flooding conditions in some parts of the state. I got out yesterday and took a drive over the Arbuckle Mountains; pond full and overflowing streams are running again up to the brim. Turner Falls was closed probably because of the rain due to the low water bridges, you can get stuck on the mountain if you’re on the wrong side of Honey Creek after a big rain. So I took advantage of the look out along the highway to view the falls. The falls as a rule doesn’t run this much water but after a rain it takes on a hole new look and I thing even more beautiful than usual. Shot this about 10 o’clock yesterday morning amidst and heavy mist, some fog and haze. I took the liberty of taking out the man made structures a building, a bridge, and a walkway along the stream. I like to see it as it was more than how it is although it’s a great place to spend the day hicking, on a picnic and swimming with your family. Thank you for stopping by and for any comments you care to leave, hope all are in the middle of a great weekend.

There's a lot of water moving down hill here, I wouldn't want to live at the bottom! Nice to see the flowers and trees, you can almost smell the fresh air.

Wonderful pic! The waterfall is very beautiful after the rain and nature looks foggy and fresh. The right moment! And a great POV, too.

Fantastic wide view. Love the yellow flowers in a front and of course a waterfall is amazing as fan out into a basin.

I recognized this immediately from the thumbnail! Have wanted to go back there for some time, it's a great place. I can even see the cool cave we climbed into. But I don't think we stopped at an overlook, so this is a pleasant surprise to see! Great shot, Royce, and excellent post work cloning out the unwanted objects!
