its a great layout, koosie, has a classic touch and i love simple monochrome layouts, this might has to do with my aldus freehand version 1, wich i still have and that always meant to work in 1 bit 'colour' mode :)))

poster design, sign design, and general graphic design is an art that many do but not many do well. Often I find they're done for splash (to sell, which is what the client wants) or for effect. Sometimes the artist doesn't understand the space and overloads it or underloads it. It's a balancing act...Every poster-design I've seen from you 'got' it, it knew the amount, placement & rhythms of the design. I assume you've done this many times, or that your design-sense seeps in whenever you do. You've got 4 chairs which morph from tall to less-tall to positively squat (left to right), and the b&w sets off the chairs very well. Your typeface choices are fine too, something that also eludes a lot of designers. One fat serif, one (maybe 2) sans serifs, and one in red & one in white. Those are small details but mountains to a designer. The vertical 'chairmania' understands the space beautifully; and, being the title, it's the only non b&w in the piece. It's a fine design...I even like where you put your copyright info. Lessons to be learned here...I liked this the day it went up.
