Description
After months of hibernation, I finally got out with my camera (and my fishing rod). Fortunately my camera was working because it seems that my fishing rod was not :(
The wind was very strong and blowing right to left in this shot. There were dozens of swallows buzzing around the leeward side of this point and as we got close we could see that they were catching bugs that were being blown out of the trees. These birds are relatively fearless when it comes to humans, they'll buzz within a few feet of you in their quest for food.
The lighting was dim and they move very quickly so the image is not as sharp as I might like but it does catch the feel of the moment.
As for my fishing, I caught no fish, watched my buddy catch 4 and the battery for my trolling motor died forcing us to paddle against strong winds. Good thing there were things to see around me. We also spotted a family of deer swimming near shore but by the time we got there, they had disappeared into the forest so no pictures of them this week.

Greeetings Rock type chum! So the fish were having none of it! But, the birdie's were! You have got two types here. Swallows (definitely center left) and Martins (most of em!) Lol. Well caught, cos they ain't slow! Look forward to next post in four years time! Lol. Rob. Metal Rules! So do older Rockers!
