Description
Out fishing again this morning and I noticed this Eagle in the trees. This is the second time we have seen an Eagle here which is pretty exciting as they were all but extinct here not that long ago. I didn't see the other large bird in the background till I got home and saw the full size image. It may be another Eagle which could mean a nesting pair which would be even better! The one took off and flew around us. I caught a few shots but sitting in a canoe and trying to track a bird flying around isn't easy.
The heavy backlighting from the sun made this a difficult shot and took away from the clarity. I asked the sun to move but it just sat there ignoring me.
Hopefully they will settle in and give me more opportunity to get better shots.
BTW, for anyone following along, I did have a better time fishing, I had 2 pike and the sun was shining despite the cold temps (2C).

I don't think any other bird would have been that close to the eagle, it had to be the mate. great shot and awesome serendipity.

Hi, mate! Better luck I hear! On the Eagle front! No, you haven't got two, I'm afraid. Other birds (all over the world) mob Birds Of Prey. That's what this bird is doing. As for what it is. Looking at the tail, some kind of crow type bird. (not sure what you have around your area!) Sorry mate. BUT, that's not to say there are not a pair of Eagles. Their range covers a MASSIVE area just for a pair. The other one could be miles away, or even on the nest somewhere. You take care. Speak soon. Keep rockin! Rob.
