Description

This is my local version of the Black Forest beginning about 15 feet behind the property line of my backyard. The birds love it. We see deer almost daily in there and some say a coyote will sneak in from time to time. Oh, and there is a creek in there too. This caught my eye thanks to the Blue Jay perched in the middle. Thanks for stopping by, Bill:) Please ZOOM for best effect.

Forest primeval. That's the kind of place I'd avoid, now that the bugs are active. I can almost hear the chiggers licking their chops for fresh meat.

We have some of this, too, but still not the variety of your birds. A wonderful shelter and source for water for them here. Very nice capture of the wildness.

This looks like great bird terrain and no wonder they come to visit you. I feed the birds during the winter here but have not had nearly as many as last year and though it hasn't been as cold yet I'm not sure why there aren't as many around.
